STORYAbout the Project

Hi, I’m Buzz from Gossip Sugar Films. We are crowdfunding “THE MELT,” the new short film in the Virgin Kiss series and the sequel to “THE FALL.” Your support goes toward completing the film, and every return is tied to the film and its cast. (The film also continues on stage in Tokyo this October — details below.)

What is Virgin Kiss?

“Virgin Kiss” is a short drama series built around a “kiss” between women — and the decisions forced at life’s crossroads. Every episode ends on a moment of decision, and leaves you asking yourself: “What would I have done?” It is a series that plants a question in everyone who watches.

The channel launched as a sub-channel of “Gossip Sugar,” an original short-drama series about the hidden side of the entertainment world that has passed 50 million total views and keeps expanding beyond YouTube, including a collaboration with Kodansha’s “Young Magazine.” With “Virgin Kiss,” we explore what lies deeper in human emotion, from a different angle than Gossip Sugar.

The Short Film “THE MELT”

Six months after “THE FALL.”

Two new members join the drama club: Nagisa Mitsuhashi and Rion Sato. As they fall into the darkness of acting, they come to know what real love is…

Acting, or for real? The more they rehearse, the more the line between performance and reality melts away.

Cast

Kanon Sera as Nagisa Mitsuhashi

Yuka Yoshida as Rion Sato

Ayano Kato as Hinami Hoshino

Makoto Akaeda as Marin Aikawa

Aki Noma as Ryo Takanashi (stage play “The Fallen Has Melted”)

About the Returns

Returns are prepared for each cast member. Choose a cast member, then pick your return.

* The making-of photobook and blooper reel are shared contents; the thank-you video, autographed cheki, shikishi board and script are individual to each cast member. The autographed script is the script of the short film “THE MELT.”

Also on stage: “The Fallen Has Melted”

“THE MELT” continues on stage in Tokyo. “THE FALL” and “THE MELT” are woven into one play with four different endings, performed by two casts over eight performances: October 22 (Thu) – 25 (Sun), 2026 at Atelier Fanfare Higashi-Shinjuku. The ¥35,000 return includes a front VIP seat for one of the White Cast performances (e-ticket), if you can be in Tokyo. Stage play details (Japanese) →
