THE MILLION LIGHTS — Episode 1 Is Now Live.
A YouTube Drama That Ends on Stage.
Five million yen stolen. Six suspects.
The truth is only revealed on stage.
Episode 1 of THE MILLION LIGHTS (Kaimaku Ten Million / 開幕テンミリオン) is now streaming on YouTube.
This project connects a three-episode ensemble mystery drama on YouTube with a live stage performance — one continuous story told across two mediums. You follow the case through the screen, then witness its conclusion in person, from a theater seat. That structure is the core of what this project is.
The stage production is a performance of Kenji Miyazawa’s Night on the Galactic Railroad, featuring a live piano performance by Gojoin Ryo (as Honoka Shiratori). After watching the drama and learning each character’s lies and secrets, the stage performance takes on an entirely different meaning.
This entire production — writing, directing, shooting, editing — is handled by one person. A 140-page script, shot in just 10 days. The full behind-the-scenes account of how a solo-produced drama came together is documented here.

Performances run June 25 (Thu) and 26 (Fri) at J:COM Urayasu Music Hall. 303 seats. You might be among the first to witness how this story ends.
